Allegedly, people meet for a reason.
But I wonder what could have induced
the meeting between me and you,
so perfectly matched, only to find
that despite it all, we’ve met to soon?
If life could synchronize the seconds
and the beat of our souls and our hearts
so that our minds and maturity align
along with the stars.
For I fear that a meeting too soon
slips benignly into a meeting too late…
Then all that’s left to resound in the dark
is the subtle sound of a dying fate.
