I’ve never been one for sad stories.
Inverse reactions bring me laughter
when tears are the proper response.
I’ve never been one for sad endings.
Life is meaningless if the end turns
out to be as sad as some say it is.
At dinner sometimes I laugh until
I cry or, often, the opposite- I cry
for no reason and end in a laugh.
I’m not one for sad stories or end-
ings; why prompt misfires and failed
triggers when they so naturally happen
without need for films or story time
to inspire the mind to know that
sad things happen…?
